About Fong Tat - A Diversified Business
Fong Tat Group is incorporated in Singapore in 1974 as an importer and exporter of automotive spare parts and components. Over the past three decades, the Company has grown to be a respected name in the distribution of an extensive range of automotive products in the domestic and overseas markets.
In the 1990s, given the limitation of the domestic market, the Company made a strategic move of venturing offshore into the regional and international markets to achieve further growth outside Singapore. Today, it has overseas operations in various countries, automotive spare parts and components remain the mainstay of Fong Tat's businesses.
Over the years, the Group has diversified into other business areas, including manufacturing and distribution of injection moulds, plastic products and office furniture, property development, food and beverage and electronic media, LED display products and solutions, etc.
The Group will continue to explore and identify new businesses globally either on its own or through strategic alliances with suitable business partners. New areas of business endeavours are currently being mapped out encompassing beauty, well-being, healthcare and pharmaceutical products, food supply and services.
Our aim is to gain global access to technologically developed and innovative products or services and to establish a chain of franchises in Singapore and countries in the region for some of the premium brands recognized for their quality, design and creativity.
Not only by widening its range of products and services in response to the ever changing market trends, Fong Tat is committed to constantly upgrade all aspects of its operation to help strengthen its position. Besides its production/manufacturing and warehousing facility in the Tuas industrial area in Singapore, its flagship building in Kallang Way (SG) serves as its operational headquarters, consolidating all of its operations under one roof.
The headquarter serves as the hub of the Group's operations, from which all planning, business developments, marketing, sales, distribution, manufacturing, research and development activities are coordinated and carried out. It is also a logistic centre, providing support to all its local and overseas operations.
